The role:

This role is responsible for monitoring and management of production crops and trial sites in order to produce the highest quality and highest yielding crops to meet production plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support contract seed growers (acreage planning, advice, quality control, pest and weed management)
  • Field planting, isolation, roguing, and harvesting operations
  • Organise contactors and supervise seasonal workers
  • Recording and reporting data for quality controls
  • Assisting with flowering tests and trial sites including agronomy, collection of data and quality checks

Required skills and experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, or relevant experience
  • Hands-on farming experience
  • Machinery and equipment operation experience preferable but not essential
  • Ability to self-manage and work towards deadlines and quality targets
  • Desire to work in the beautiful outdoors

The role:

This role is responsible for providing advice, guidance and collaborative solutions that embed a strong quality and safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, coach, guide and provide expertise on quality and safety practices
  • Prepare, deliver and coordinate training programs to promote, educate and foster a positive quality and safety culture
  • Lead risk identification and management activities and evaluate effectiveness of control measures
  • Maintain the quality and safety management system including document control, process mapping, investigations, corrective / preventive actions and audits
  • Coordinate investigations to determine key learnings, develop corrective actions and ensure close out
  • Coordinate and manage the internal and external audit program
  • Prepare, report and interpret quality and safety metrics and trends for issue identification and proactive resolution

Required skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence and drive outcomes through collaboration
  • Demonstrated experience with workplace culture development and organisational wide change management
  • High level of oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and positive attitude to change
  • Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of ISO, quality principles and safety legislation

The role:

This role is responsible for processing seed from intake to storage and drying, treating and packaging to ensure the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate bulk seed dryers, manage bulk seed storage and turn and treat bulk seed
  • Prepare and apply seed treatments
  • Bag and present finished products
  • Conduct general machine maintenance and clean downs for purity
  • Monitor seed quality and collect samples for quality testing
  • Operate forklift
  • Manage stock using Inventory Management System (including scanners)

Required skills and experience:

  • LF Licence (Forklift)
  • ChemCert Accreditation preferred
  • Ability to perform manual labouring tasks
  • High attention to detail to ensure seed quality
