Pioneer Seeds welcomes Haman Coulter - Territory Sales Manager

Farmers and rural supplies stores in South-East Queensland and Northern Rivers NSW will continue to be supported in their efforts to grow the best possible corn, sorghum and silage, with the appointment of new Territory Sales Manager into the established role.

Experienced local Haman Coulter has joined the Pioneer® Seeds Australia team as Territory Sales Manager for the South-East Queensland and Northern Rivers regions.

Regional Sales Manager Adam Pitman announced the new team member and reiterated the support of the company for farmers and rural supplies stores in the region.

"Pioneer Seeds is pleased to support the Queensland, Northern Territory and Northern Rivers NSW markets with five territory sales managers, two farm service consultants and a regional sales manager on the ground,” he said.

Adam said he was looking forward to seeing Haman establish himself in this role.

"Haman's knowledge of the dairy industry, agronomic background and his established relationships will be a key benefit for the region.

"It is with great pleasure and excitement that we welcome Haman to the team," he said.

In his new role, Haman is keen to expand his current network in his local community in Casino NSW, and to have the opportunity to meet and work with new people.

"I'm looking forward to meeting new growers and the local resellers. I have my connections within the community I'm based in, so I'm looking forward to expanding that within the wider territory," he said.

Haman will be the Territory Sales Manager for growers in the Northern Rivers area in NSW and the Lockyer Valley, Fassifern Valley, Wide Bay, North Burnett and South Burnett areas in QLD.

Haman's experience with Pioneer brand products sparked his interest to make the move into the Territory Sales Manager role.

"Having worked with Pioneer products for many years, any time I've ever recommended Pioneer seeds to farmers, I have always been impressed with the performance, availability and quality.

"When you read the description on a Pioneer hybrid, you know that's exactly what's going to happen when you put it in the ground," he said.

Born and raised in Macksville NSW, Haman was drawn to working in agriculture from a young age after spending his weekends on his family's farm and received university qualifications in agronomy and plant production.

"A friend of mine was an agronomist in Moree, so I spent a bit of time in that area and seeing what they got up to on a daily basis, so I think that combined with the time I'd spent on the family farm definitely drew me to working in agriculture," he said.

Haman started his career with Norco Rural in Lismore, first in the branch and then moving over into agronomy. He also worked for McGregor Gourley in Lismore as an agronomist.

After Haman and his family were affected by the 2022 Eastern Australia floods, he took some time to focus on the flood recovery and spend time with his family, after which he joined the Elders team in Lismore, before stepping in to the Territory Sales Manager role at Pioneer Seeds in March 2024.

Haman is based in Casino with his wife, a local teacher, and three boys, aged 15, 13 and 10.

Haman can be contacted via 0491 287 345 or through the Contact page.
